Open dates and hours
McCulloch House is open June 1 to October 15.
From Monday to Saturday, hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Are you open on weekends?
From June 1 to October 15 we are open on Saturdays from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Sundays from 1 pm to 5:30 pm.

The McCulloch Heritage Centre maintains the same hours from June 1 to October 15. While McCulloch House Museum is closed after mid-October, McCulloch Heritage Centre remains open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. from October 16 to May 31.

How long does it take to go through the Museum?
Plan to take at least 30 minutes for your visit. Some visitors enjoy taking their time looking at all the artifacts and stay longer than the tour itself. There is no set time limit on the tour, it can be as long or as short as you would like based on your personal interests.

Is the Museum suitable for families? For children? For young children?
Our Museum is very suitable for young and old alike. There are many interesting stories to be told that appeal to people of all ages, as well as many very interesting artifacts to view. We also have some interactive displays that children can enjoy.

Can I drop off my children at the Museum?
Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult during their visit to the Museum.

Can I get a stroller or wheelchair at the McCulloch House?
Sorry, we do not offer strollers or wheelchairs at our site.

Do you have a restaurant or food service onsite?
The Museum does not have a restaurant or cafeteria. Many dining choices are available nearby.

Do you have a Visitor Information Centre at your museum? Do you have provincial guides / maps?
There is no visitor information centre at the McCulloch House Museum. For the location of the nearest V.I.C., visit www.tourismpictoucounty.com. The Museum does have a selection of free provincial “Doers and Dreamers” travel guides and maps, as well as brochures for attractions and accommodations.

FACILITY RENTALS

Does the Museum offer meeting or banquet facilities? How would I book space for an event?

EDUCATION AND PUBLIC PROGRAMMING

What can the Museum provide to teachers?
The McCulloch House Museum offers curriculum-related fun for all school groups. All programs are related to the Atlantic Canada curriculum. GIFT SHOP

Does the Museum have a gift shop? What are the gift shop’s hours?
Our Gift Shop is located in the McCulloch Heritage Centre, located at the bottom of the hill, in the lobby area. The Shop is open the same hours as the Museum.

Can I shop without paying admission to the Museum?
There is no fee to shop in the Gift Shop.

I have a product I would like to sell in the Museum Shop. Who would I speak to in this regard?
